Yes...this doll house has a vagina, uterus and ovaries. The image was gleaned from a 1919 health book. You can take a better look at her right here. Enjoy!
Hi. I'm still hopping about your blog every so often and was pointed in the direction of your incredible house, which I find really striking. It puts me in mind of Louise Bourgeois' various 'femme maison' works, where the miniature houses seem to stand for herself, or for women in general. In fact I think I like your piece better though. J
I'm a thirty-something artist living and working from my home studio in the "Little Apple" (aka Manhattan, Kansas). This blog is my virtual corner to share about the art objects I create and collect, and other snippets of my life as an artist, homeschooling mom and wife to a PhD student. Oh yes, one more thing, I drink a lot of coffee. Thank you for stopping by!
fantastic! I love the sallow yellow and vintage imagery.
ReplyDeleteThank you Holly! Glad you like the yellow. I believe she's my most colorful doll house yet :)
