Collage Grid At Last

Elastic, collage on wood panel

Finally....this collage grid is finished and up in the shop. It was painstaking work as each of the squares were cut by hand (no punches here!). Not sure if I want to attempt another one any time soon although I'm thinking an even larger one would be stunning. I'd love to hear what you think.

  1. How did you attach the squares ? I would like to try this type of art but am not sure how to go about it without ruining the paper ! How do you get it to stay smooth if yoy use glue or varnish or modge podge , or exactly what do you use to put it together ?

  2. Hi Lori, Yes--each square was cut and glued to the panel. The glue I use is called Royal Coat Decoupage finish and it's manufactured by Plaid. You can find it at Hobby Lobby or Michael's. Hope this helps! Have fun creating :)
