Walking On Water

Walking On Water, collage on "The Magic Boat" book cover

Late night quandary....trying to figure out which legs to use in this collage. The walking ones won.

Keep Off The Moon

Keep Off The Moon, collage on old book cover

Maybe I got a little carried away with the stars on this one ;) I've got two assemblages in progress in the studio. As long as they behave I'll share them with you in a couple of days.

Book Quilt

Insects, hand stitched collage book 'skin' quilt

Finally got around to photographing the book quilt I shared with you last week. This patchwork of frayed book skins represents many different volumes....a French dictionary, children's primers, a physiology textbook, various science books, a guide to insects and a bible story book.

A big thanks to those of you who shopped at my Spring Sale! If you're reading this and missed it I'll plan to keep the coupon code active 'til tonight ;) Coming up this week are two 'wall doll' assemblages and a group of April art blocks.

Breakfast Collage

Breakfast, collage on old book cover

I've created a short time-lapse video so you can see this collage take shape one piece at a time. Picked up one of these so I could mount my phone directly over my workspace. Hoping to make more process videos to share with you in the future. Have a beautiful weekend!

Puppet Master

Puppet Master, original collage on scribbled book cover

Two years ago Patrick and Lizzie were well into their Oz adventures. This week they are finishing up the 47th book in the series, Trouble Under Oz. It has been a fantastical journey and even though I don't sit in on the nightly readings there has been a bit of Oz seeping into my own work. I've dubbed it Oz-mosis ;)

Welcome 2014

Well it looks like the New Year has successfully been rung in 'round the globe! We celebrated New Year's Eve with a stack of my made-from-scratch blueberry pancakes and an everlasting game of Monopoly. Patrick and I survived the latter with the help of a bottle of vino. When the clock struck midnight the three of us made a hullabaloo to welcome in 2014.

So...I wanna know how you rang in the New Year? Leave a comment below and next Wednesday, January 8th, I'll draw a name and gift the winner this dancing clock collage. No worries if you live outside the USA....I'll ship it anywhere in the world ;)

Happy New Year my friends!

Sushipot Shop Note: All art blocks (including what's left of the holiday blocks) are marked down 30% through January 15th. Free worldwide shipping ends on January 2nd.
