California Outtakes

Thought I'd share a few outtakes from our trip to California last weekend. It was fun to meet up with old friends and family and make some new ones too! The wedding went off without a hitch, Lizzie had the time of her life being a flower girl, we ate a lot of good food and we now lovingly refer to Los Angeles as Lost Angeles (which we were more than once!). As Eeyore would say....the weekend was full of "merriment and what-not"!

We're flying out to Los Angeles tomorrow for a very important occasion. My big brother Andy is getting married on Saturday to a super nice lady (hi Mindy!!). The wedding is taking place on a boat (how cool is that?!) and Lizzie is beside herself with excitement as she gets to participate as a flower girl. Needless to say, things will be a bit quiet around here 'till we return but you can always follow along via my Instagram feed. Can you feel the love?!

Weekend In Kansas City

Our weekend in Kansas City was a whole bunch of fun. We stayed at the historical Hotel Phillips, established in 1931 and full of exquisite Art Deco details. Saturday we attended Jiggle Jam, visited the Crown Center (including the Crayola Store!), the Hallmark Visitors Center and Union Station. Sunday we spent the entire day at the Kansas City Zoo. We ate too much, drank too much (coffee, of course!) and I took too many pictures (via Instagram of course!). Our favorite restaurant pick was the Genghis Kahn Mongolian Grill. Hope your weekend was lovely too.

Last Friday

This is my final installment of images from our trip to Indiana (I promise!). Last Friday we had a delicious lunch at a sushi bar my parents frequent and then headed out to browse antique shops. One of the shops we stopped in was housed in an old barn built in 1909. As you can see I had fun taking pictures of its rafters--it was such a beautiful, open space.

Conner Prairie

One highlight of our excursion to Indiana was an outing to Conner Prairie on Saturday. Most of these images were taken inside my two favorite buildings in the reconstructed, old-timey village--the shop and the school house. My acrophobia prevented me from experiencing the 1859 balloon voyage but it was beautiful to watch and photograph from the solid ground.

Up, Up & Away
