Winter Light

Winter light can be so persistent and some days it's difficult to photograph pieces for the shop. I really should have taken the time by now to purchase or build a light box so I'm not always dependant on the weather. Anyhow, I thought I'd share my makeshift set up with you today. A layer of tissue paper on the window does wonders for diffusing the light.

  1. I've always thought you had such great white-toned backgrounds. My apartment has eastern and western light and it's really tough to get balanced white, especially in the winter. I've resorted to using a gray background. As always, your stuff looks great!

  2. I've been a big sushipot fan for a long time! Your pics are gorgeous and so consistent. Thanks for sharing your set-up! I'm constantly trying to make my pics better (just bought a Nikon D40... still trying to figure out the settings).
