Dangle Ornaments

Sushipot's dangle ornaments are here--a baker's dozen of 'em! Ever since I teased you with the image of these in progress I've received several messages asking when they would be in the shop. I'll be listing them throughout the day along with these winter art blocks. I must say they  are quite jolly and look so festive hanging here 'n there on the walls of my studio. They vary in size between 6 and 9 inches and come ready to dangle (and jingle!) by a bit of golden string.

Ornaments In Progress

Here's what's cookin' in the Sushipot kitchen....dingle-dangle ornaments! I've had such fun concocting these jolly xmas objects. Years of hoarding...errrr...collecting old-timey wooden bits 'n bobs has paid off. Now I just have to figure out how to give them a coat of varnish without gumming up their glorious dangliness ;) Then to photographing the whole crew....there are many, many others to choose from. I'm shooting to have them in the shop the first week of November. I'll keep you posted.

Vintage Ornaments

We had a low-key holiday weekend....just the three of us. On Thanksgiving we began putting together this Autumnal puzzle and surprised ourselves by finishing it the next day. The tree was set up and adorned with all our old favorites and this collection of new-to-us vintage glass ornaments. I cannot resist a steal on Ebay! Lizzie talked us into colored lights this year so our tree is a kaleidoscopic wonder and we love it :)

Festive Reindeer

A herd of red-nosed reindeer trotted into the shop today. They've been caught dipping their antlers into those paint cans over at Santa's workshop....pink, yellow, lavender and teal. Such a festive bunch!

Red-Nosed Reindeer

A festive pair of red-nosed reindeer with seriously over-sized schnozzles. The pink-antlered Rudolph is a wall piece and the other a holiday ornament.

Blue Bird Ornaments

I'm shaking things up around here...the doily bird ornaments are a teal blue this year ;) Happy weekend all.

Santa Ornaments

These wee Santa figures have been sitting in my studio for months (errrr....years) and I decided it was high time they did a bit more that sit in a mason jar lookin' pretty. So....here is a very limited edition of Sushipot Santa ornaments--there are only 6 of 'em folks!

Mini Collage Ornaments

Not sure why I didn't think of making these before...miniature art blocks as ornaments (or festive pendants if you please). It was kinda enjoyable fussing around with all the teeny scraps and tiny stitches. They are 1.75 inches square compared to the 2.5 inch square blocks. I should have done a comparison picture for size but I forgot. Too excited to get these gems into the shop! Take a peek at 'em right here.

Prickly Ornaments

 

A merry group of prickly ornaments are headed into the shop today. You gotta treat these ornies with great care or they tend to bite. Patrick calls them ninja stars but they make me think of little wreaths.

Festive Ornaments

Happy November! It's full speed ahead towards Christmas 2011 'round here. As promised, a fresh selection of festive ornaments for the season are available in the shop. Just checked and there are only 53 more days until Christmas. I may be a bit scarce in these parts between now and then--just sayin'!

Vintage Puzzle Ornaments

Lizzie and I picked out this teal tinsel Christmas tree for the studio (cuz we're feelin' super festive 'round here!) and its turned out to be a useful photo prop too. These delightfully retro puzzle piece ornaments will be sprinkled into the vintage shop throughout the next few days. And...if you're wanting your own tinsel tree to decorate I bought it here but please don't tell Lizzie they have it in hot pink too!

Prickly Ornaments

I've decided to bring back my Prickly Ornaments for the 2011 holiday season! This first selection is a bit on the darker side of things but never fear--I'll be offering some with classic Christmas imagery very soon. Thought I'd start with these for those of you who would enjoy them as Halloween decor too.

Doily Bird Ornaments

These doily bird ornaments were finished up over the weekend. I was thrilled to have found the little hand carved birds at Will & Kay Studios on Etsy. Lizzie had fun helping me photograph them. Don't you just love the fake tree? Oh well.
