Brownie Plaque

My trusty knife attacked my thumb this week while I was preparing wooden plaques. Actually, I shouldn't blame the blade as it was user error and I did something I shouldn't have. I'm promising myself to being much more careful. A shout out to Chris, one of Sushipot's awesome-est patrons, for sending me cool band-aids for boo-boos such as these! I'm putting 'em to good use ;) This brownie plaque and a handful of others will be posted in the shop over the weekend.

Botanical Plaques

Among my collection of treasured ephemera are a few tattered, hand-colored lithographs from Lorenz Oken’s extensive 13 volume series „Naturgeschichte für alle Stände“ (Natural History for all Social Ranks) which was published in 1843 in Stuttgart, Germany. This botanical plaque and a couple others will be added to the shop today along with some anatomical plaques too.

Posture Plaques

The merits of good posture and the repercussions of bad posture were thoroughly discussed in the circa 1870's elementary physiology book from which these images were gleaned. Posture plaques and other anatomical goods in the shop tonight. I think I'm sittin' up a bit straighter in my chair now.
