Chicken Scratch

Chicken Scratch, shadow box assemblage with vintage toys

I had such fun playing with this shadow box assemblage. Reminiscing doll houses, dioramas, pecking hens, scratchy scrawls and stitching...a lighthearted piece for all you chicken lovers out there!

And...a warm thanks to Elise for sending the vintage farm figures my way.

Britt's Garden Acres

Last Friday was a fabulous (and blusterous as Lizzie kept saying!) Autumn day. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Britt's Garden Acres and managed to fill up our car with a great variety of pumpkins and gourds. Don't think we've ever had so many in one season before. In addition to pumpkin picking--we petted the farm animals (Patrick got a few too many pecks in a variety of places!), braved the corn maze and survived a bumpy hayride. A totally successful Fall day if I do say so myself!
