Fair Weather

We did not venture out to the Riley County Fairgrounds on Friday or Saturday due to the extremely hot temperatures. So...last night we decided we'd better take a chance 'cuz of course we could not miss the carnival. We hadn't been there 25 minutes and a nasty thunderstorm rolled in towards the fairgrounds. A bit disappointing but it made for a great Instagram image.

Carnival Colors

We live right around the corner from the Riley County fairgrounds and the carnival opened last night. Of course we had to go as someone has been watching for it all year long! We arrived early and stayed late enough for one last ride on the Ferris wheel to view the carnival lights at night. I'm amazed at the plethora of fried foods that were offered--we decided to stick to the familiar funnel cake. Have a beautiful weekend and enjoy the carnival colors!
