Paintbrush Clown, mixed media assemblage

Didn't I mention I was on a clown kick? What else do you do with a grungy orange paintbrush?! The obvious solution was to make a Paintbrush Clown.

Britt's Garden Acres

Last Friday was a fabulous (and blusterous as Lizzie kept saying!) Autumn day. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Britt's Garden Acres and managed to fill up our car with a great variety of pumpkins and gourds. Don't think we've ever had so many in one season before. In addition to pumpkin picking--we petted the farm animals (Patrick got a few too many pecks in a variety of places!), braved the corn maze and survived a bumpy hayride. A totally successful Fall day if I do say so myself!

Parachutes & Princesses

Mini Pumpkins

We stopped by our local pumpkin patch this weekend to stock up on pumpkins. Lizzie and I were fascinated by these baskets of mini pumpkins. In addition to the mini variety we picked out three big ones to carve into jack o' lanterns. I'm sure I'll be sharing many more pumpkin pictures this month!

Orange Birdhouse

Lizzie is very proud of the little orange birdhouse she painted this weekend and mounted to a tree (with Daddy's help) outside. Lots of birdseed has been tucked inside and she's hoping a lucky bird will discover it before flying south for winter.

Orange Fringe

Nothing quells the mid-January blues like orange fringed placemats! I purchased these from Yokohiyoko on New Year's day anticipating the need for a pop of color.
