Topsy Turvy

Topsy Turvy, mixed media assemblage

One more piece to share with you this week.....a topsy turvy clown. He's not sure which way to point.

Queen Bee

I've held onto this petite, freakish doll head for years. The back of the head is marked 1914 and it was quite fragile with a hairline crack. Anyhow, I was able to reinforce the interior with resin to use in this assemblage and she's stronger than ever. Hard to tell from the photos but she has itsy-bitsy teeth in her mouth....kinda vampir-esque if you ask me. Decided not to go that route and gave her a bumblebee with breasts get-up.

Raggedy Ann Assemblage

Raggedy Ann, mixed media assemblage

My mama heart strings were tugged a bit when Lizzie announced she was too old to dress up and go trick-or-treating this year. She's much more excited about the prospect of handing out candy to the neighborhood kiddos and seeing their costumes. I've been consoling myself by dressing up art dolls in the studio. Remember my little Raggedy Ann
