Happy 10th Birthday

We're celebrating a milestone birthday with Lizzie today....10 whole years old! It's hard not to ponder the future and this decade that will take her from carefree child to capable adult. Plans today include a crafter-noon, Legos and chocolate cake. Happy birthday Lizzie!

The Number Eight

I love how she loves the number eight because "it looks like a bow and infinity". She's so excited to be eight. Happy birthday Lizzie Claire....as you told me last night....it will be grrrrrrrreat to be eight!

Speaking Of Blocks

And...speaking of blocks....here are a couple more sets that I've added to the virtual shelves of the vintage shop this week. Never seen anything like either of these before which is always a plus in my book. Unique alphabet block sets for artists and/or collectors!

Eleven Years Ago

Eleven years ago today I married my best friend. We've both changed a bit over the last decade 'n a year--most noticeably, Patrick has laid his labret piercing to rest and my hair is (much) much shorter. I'm looking forward to our next eleven years. Happy Anniversary Patrick! I love you.

Number Garlands

I thrifted some old-school flashcards a while back 'cuz I was seduced by their retro colors. Lizzie helped me snip them up to create little number garlands for the shop. We've got an incredible pile of collage scraps now.

Happy Pi(e) Day

Happy Pi(e) Day Folks!

I say the only proper way to celebrate Pi Day is the most obvious way...

...eat a slice of pie!

Don't forget to pour yourself a cuppa coffee too! I must add that all these images are from a 1955 issue of Better Living magazine. Did you know that pie not only tastes good but pi sounds good too? I leave you with a little Pi Day music:

01022010

Pondering the numerical sequence of today's date kept me from falling asleep last night.
