Kitschy Kurtains

I'm a bit giddy over my new-to-me kitschy kitchen kurtains.

Found 'em on ebay last week and they arrived in good order with the tag still attached.

Believe me...I didn't get as good a deal as W.T. Grant offered back in the day 'cuz true kitsch is priceless folks!

I'm debating whether to embrace their kitschiness with a row of pom poms like these or these or even these

Another upside to having closed the vintage shop is there was no guilt over keeping my all-time favs like these crying onions.

Our rental house is by no means 'pinterest perfect' but as Patrick tells me I just gotta embrace its fifty shades of brown so that's what I'm doing ;)

Vintage Kitchen Collection

All sorts of odds 'n ends are being gathered together to form "collections" for the shop. I'm determined to leave Kansas with less stuff than I moved here with 5 years ago--in home AND studio. Anyone who's seen my studio knows this is a TALL order (right Patrick?!). Lizzie jumped in on the action contributed her toy rolling pin to this kitchen collection. She's saving up money for more Legos and will receive 1/10 of the profit when it sells  :)

Put Out My Lights

Put Out My Lights Carnival Sign at bellalulu

I have no idea what's involved in the carnival game "Put Out My Lights" but I do know it only cost a single dollar (and had some really cool signage to boot)! Anyhow, the sign inspired this collection of vintage objects from my Etsy favorites. Enjoy!

Sushipot Vignette no 9

Sushipot Vignette no 9 (owl trivet and sink)

Each image in the Sushipot Vignette series is composed of a grouping of objects found in and around my home or studio. This owl trivet has been perched sink ledge since we moved in a couple years ago. Maybe I should take time to hang him up? Take a peek at previous images in my vignette series here.
