Fall Foliage

We've been enjoying some splendid Fall foliage these past few weeks.

Always more fun to rake wet leaves with a tiny rake (don't ask!).

Our neighbor's golden tree.

The piles of leaves have been dubbed 'nature's pillows' :)

Our neighbor's golden tree the next day.

'Leaf bouquets' are gathered on our daily walks (as if we need more!).

Happy Friday!

Triangle Trees

Yes, I've blogged these old color cubes by The Embossing Company before. I'm always on the look out for more of these as they are such a unique design toy and they never sit around collecting dust in the shop. I did something different with this latest group and created several mini sets of 6 cubes. Now you can create your own little red 'n white triangle tree for the holidays.

Vintage Puzzle Ornaments

Lizzie and I picked out this teal tinsel Christmas tree for the studio (cuz we're feelin' super festive 'round here!) and its turned out to be a useful photo prop too. These delightfully retro puzzle piece ornaments will be sprinkled into the vintage shop throughout the next few days. And...if you're wanting your own tinsel tree to decorate I bought it here but please don't tell Lizzie they have it in hot pink too!

Observing Squirrels

Lizzie and I have been observing the squirrels on our recent walks and noticed they always seem to have an acorn in their mouths these days--gathering food for the winter months no doubt! She thought it would be handy if they had little baskets to carry on their tails. We spotted a bright red one scampering up the tree in our front yard this morning. He was a friendly fellow and even paused for a moment so we could take his picture!

Weekend Plans

Well it's threatening to stay sunny and in the upper 40's all weekend so I'm gonna say "see ya later gators"! My big weekend plan is to find some lovely books at our local library sale on Saturday. Also on the agenda with Lizzie is the creation of a few Mardi Gras masks. I've downloaded this template over at Skip To My Lou. What are your weekend plans?

Our Thanksgiving Week

A random assortment of snapshots from our Thanksgiving week. The tree was set up, stockings hung, a countdown-to-xmas paper chain was created, lots of goodies were baked and consumed, all of the special holiday books that only come out at this time of year were unearthed. In general, much fun was had by all!

The shops have been quite busy and I've a pile of orders to pack but before I sign off a reminder that Sushipot's Holiday Sale is continuing until midnight (CST) tonight. Enter coupon code, SUSHIPOT20, at checkout to receive 20% off your entire order.

Blooms and Dirt

Everything is blooming around here and the gorgeous weather kept luring us outdoors this weekend.

Lots of time was spent "jumpin" and playing in the dirt.

We were also able to work in our first grill-out of the season.

Hope that you had a beautiful weekend too!
