Oh October!

Seems like every time October rolls around I have an 'oh s**t' moment over my things-to-do-before-the-holiday-season-begins list (as an Etsy seller that is). All summer long I have the best of intentions to be prepared but when you run a one woman show it's much easier said than done. Anyhow, it's no different this year and today is that day. haha! So I'm telling myself to kick it into high gear and tackle that list (we'll see how it goes!). First up is to finish this bevy of wall dolls who have been patiently waiting for additional limbs. They gotta have something to kick around with you know ;) Oh....and before I forget....a happy October to you!

Decked out in chevrons & harlequins this clown is ready for the limelight. Kinda reminds me of Klee's amazing hand puppets 'tho only in shape--mine is quite rigid.

While I was editing the images of this fine lady in Photoshop tonight Lizzie walked in and saw the bladder enlarged on my computer screen. She promptly got a case of the giggles. If you like this doll house be sure to check back in tomorrow 'cuz her sister is waiting in the wings.

New Wall Dolls

Hope you haven't noticed I've been kinda scarce in this space. No news is good news...I've been busy livin' life, enjoying some slightly less hot summer days (Patrick starts back to school a week from today), and puttering around in the studio. There are a couple of new wall dolls in the shop tonight....a fine Hostess and a 'lil flower child named Nimrod (he's quite the hunter they say!). Next up is another clown so I promise to stop back in sometime this week and show you once he's finished.

Pop Tart

Do you remember those popping toys on wheels from your childhood? Well, that's what this little fellow brought to mind. An old pastry roller plus a handful of hole punches and voilà...Pop Tart came to life!
